Nataly's Review: Clarity by Kim Harrington.

Synopsis:
Dont close your eyes. Except when the truth is too dark to bear. Clarity "Clare" Fern can see things. Things no one else can see. Things like stolen kisses and long-buried secrets. All she has to do is touch a certain object and visions come to her. It is a gift.
     And a curse.
When a teenage girl is found murdered, Clare's ex-boyfriend wants her help to solve the case--but Clare is still furious at the cheating jerk. Then Clare's brother--who has supernatural gifts of his own--becomes the prime suspect, Clare can no longer look away. Teaming up with Gabriel, the smoldering son of the detective, Clare must venture into the depths of fear, revenge, and lust in order to track the killer. But will her sight fail her just when she needs it most?

Thoughts:
3/5 stars.
I am going to begin by saying that I pretty much read this book because of it's awesome cover. I'm just saying, if I wrote a book, I wouldn't mind having a cover like that. Now onto the book itself. The main character Clare has a pretty useful gift, which is when she touches an item she can see and feel what the person was feeling and seeing. Her mother and brother also have gifts too, the mother being able to read minds and the older brother, Perry, being able to see dead people. So when her brother gets accused of a murderer, she feels compelled to use her gift and help solve the murder alongside the sexy Gabriel and her cheater of an ex-boyfriend Justin (who you can just tell she has hidden feeling for).
Halfway into the book I think most people who will read this book can kind of guess who the culprit is. But this book really hooks you in, starting with the first chapter. I pretty much could not but this book down after reading a couple sentences. It was pretty fast paced, and not a long book at all being about 240 pages. I thought that Clare would use her powers more than she did, but I felt the ending did the book justice and still left the reader wanting more. I would definitely read this if I were you!
