This is my first time participating in Top Ten Tuesday (Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish), and I am preetty excited. This weeks topic is Halloween books. I don't really read scary-ish-ish books, so my books may be a bit suckish. By the way, these are not in any particular order, just the the books I first thought of.
1. The Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling:
This series has witchcraft, wizardry, three-headed dogs, werewolves, trolls, ghosts, and most importantly, a nose-less villan. Can't get any better.
2. Shade by Jeri Smith-Ready:
Shade has a love triangle with an epic-osity level of 300. Love triangle consists of two humans, and a ghost-ish-ish thing that has minor freak-out issues.
3. Beautiful Creature Series by Kami Garcia/Margaret Stohl:
Nothing is ever what it seems to be with these books. It contains many supernatural elements that I found pretty cool. Also, I liked how in these books, the one with supernatural powers was the lady.
4. Nevermore by Kelly Creagh:
Even though I am not the biggest fan of this book, I have to say that it is a perfect Halloween read. It takes elements of Edgar Allen Poe (who is the master of creepy) and takes many unexpected turns.

5. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead:
Don't be warded off by the covers, THESE BOOKS ARE AWESOMESAUCE. The vampires in this book are totally kick-ass and very different from the sparkly one's were used to hearing about.
6. Anything by Steven King:
Need I say more?
7. The Secret Circle by L.J. Smith:
These books are pretty much about this co-ed clan of witches. There's bound to be some weird sh*t.
8. Zombies vs. Unicorns by Many Many Authors:
This anthology was probably one of the most... fun books I've read in awhile. While some stories are just flat-out weird, most are really interesting, each having their own different plot to them.

9. The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting:
This is a definitely one of those creepy reads, what with the hearing of dead people and all, but the cute wittle relationship between Jay and Violet levels it out.
10. Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux:
This really is one of my favorite books to read around Halloween. It's not really scary as it is... creepy (I have probably used that word 627343 in this post alone). It also helps that I am able to picture Gerard Butler as the Phantom.
